Portrait of Sasindu Wijeratne

Hi, I’m Sasindu!

I am a Senior Engineer in Architecture at Tenstorrent, working on performance modeling, workload optimization, and analysis of emerging workloads.

I completed my Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California in Summer 2025. My thesis focused on hardware-aware algorithm design for sparse tensor decomposition across CPU, GPU, and FPGA.

My research interests include parallel and distributed computing, hardware–software co-design, computer architecture, and performance modeling.

When I’m not optimizing workloads, I like to hit the gym (475 lb deadlift, 375 lb squat, and 230 lb bench), hike, jog, boulder, and play badminton and pickleball.
